The Duluth Huskies (7-6) beat the St. Cloud Rox (7-6) on Sunday in 11 innings.

For the second day in a row, the Huskies went into extra innings before winning 4-3. The Roxs got to work in the 2nd inning scoring 3 with a fly ball by Chris Kwitzer with an error from Reid Long out in left. By the 6th the Huskies came back swinging. Reid Long hit a double moving Matt Brown to 3rd. Zac Orchard hit a single advancing Long and scoring Brown. Later Long and Orchard would score, tying the game at 3. With the score remaining tied, the game headed into extra innings. It wasn’t until the top of the 11th that the Huskies would score the go-ahead run with Dillion Paulson scoring Logan Browning on a single. In the bottom of the 11th the Roxs came up just short, when a relay from Long, to Steven Neutzling to Chase Barbary got Trevor Putzig at the plate for the final out of the game.

Mitch Bauer threw 5 innings with 3 hits, 3 runs, 3 walks, and 3 strikeouts. Bauer was relieved by Corey Gaconi, who made his Huskies debut tossing 3 innings with 2 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk, and 1 strikeout. Payton Robinson earns the win for the Huskies in his debut going 2.1 innings with 0 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk, and 0 strikeouts. Wade Regas receives the save pitching 0.2 innings. Austin Briggs receives the loss for the Roxs pitching 2 innings with 3 hits, 1 run, 0 walks, and 1 strikeout.
