The Duluth Huskies (7-8) lost to the Eau Claire Express (9-6) Tuesday night.

The Duluth Huskies came out of the gates sluggish, but as the game progressed and the weather deteriorated they came alive. Going into the bottom of the 7th inning the Huskies were behind 8-1 then the weather took a turn and the rain started to fall. The Huskies battled through the elements and closed the scoring gap to 9-6 heading into the 9th inning. Steven Neutzling led off for the Huskies in the 9th inning with a double to deep right-center field. The Huskies were mounting their comeback; however, as luck would have it, they would fall short. The final score of the game was 9-6.

Logan Browning got the start for the Huskies and went 4.0 innings allowing 5 runs on 6 hits. He was replaced by Marcus Frederickson who pitched 3.0 innings allowing 3 runs on 4 hits. Alex Ferguson came in to finish the game. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit.
