The Duluth Huskies (9-10) fell to the St. Cloud Rox (12-6) Saturday night.

The Saturday night game between the Huskies and the Rox was a long game filled with lots of offense and walks as both starting pitchers exited early with control problems. The Huskies jumped out to an early lead in the top of the first when Daniel Amaral scored on a Logan Browning double. This lead would not last however as the Rox scored 3 runs in the bottom of the first chasing out the Huskies starting pitcher, Riley Gates, after just 0.1 innings of work. Things did not get better for the Huskies right away as the Rox added two more runs in the bottom of the second increasing their lead to 5-1. The Huskies would battle back however and score 7 runs in the top of the third thanks to an RBI double by Logan Browning, a 2RBI double by Reid Long, a bases-loaded walk drawn by Chase Barbary, and Liam Sabino and Chase Barbary both scored on a wild pitch and error by the catcher respectably. This inning by the Huskies would chase the Rox starter, Austin Caspersen, from the ballgame. The bullpens had a lot of work ahead of them as both starting pitchers did not make it through 3 innings.

As the pitching was concerned, things did not get better as both teams exchanged runs throughout the rest of the game. The Huskies added 1 run in the top of the fourth when Reid Long singled driving in Logan Browning. The Huskies would take a 9-8 lead into the bottom of the fifth where the Rox would score 5 runs to regain the lead. From here on out, it was an uphill battle for the Huskies; but they continued to chip away at the Rox lead. The Huskies scored 2 runs in the sixth thanks to a David Kyriacou sac fly and a wild pitch which scored Reid Long. The Huskies scored their 12th and final run in the top of the 7th when Logan Browning scored on a wild pitch.

At the end of the day the two team combined for 27 runs, 29 hits, and 19 bases-on-balls.

The star players for the Huskies tonight were Logan Browning who went 3-6 with 2 doubles, 2RBIs, and 3 runs scored; Reid Long who went 3-5 with a double, 3RBIs, and 2 runs scored; and Liam Sabino who went 3-3 with a double, 1 walk, and 1 run scored.
