The Duluth Huskies (24-29) fell to the Green Bay Bullfrogs (25-28) Tuesday night at Wade Stadium.

A pitching duel between starters Payton Robinson and Connor Hock was underway at Wade. The two teams were locked at 0 until the Bullfrogs scored 1 on a single from Jonah Davis in the bottom of the 4th. Both bats stayed quite as the game continued until the top of the 8th with the Bullfrogs scoring 2 on an error and a sacrifice fly. The Huskies were unable to recover from the deficit to leave the score 3-0 in favor of the Bullfrogs.

Despite Payton Robinson having a stellar start he receives the loss today after tossing 7.1 innings with 8 hits, 3 runs, 3 walks, and 1 strikeout. Ian Schwickert came into as relief for Robinson and went on to finish the game tossing 1.2 innings. Connor Hock receives the win for the Bullfrogs after tossing 6.0 innings allowing 5 hits, 0 runs, 3 walks, and 2 strikeouts. Jeremy Groff earns the save after tossing 2.0 innings.

The Huskies are back at Wade Wednesday, July 27 to finish the series with the Bullfrogs. It’s Thunderstix Giveaway Night sponsored by Harley Davidson Sports Center.
