The Duluth Huskies (24-36) lost to the Thunder Bay Border Cats (15-43) in the second game of the double header Monday night.

The Border Cats swept the Huskies in Canada on Monday and evened the season series to 4-4.  

The Huskies took an early lead in the top of the 2nd on a Chase Barbary sac fly which scored Dillon Paulson. From there, the Border Cats offense would once again take over. The Cats scored in the bottom of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th innings making the score 6-1. The Huskies would battle back however and score 2 runs in the top of the 9th when Daniel Amaral singled to score Bart In den Kleef and Brendan McClary. The final score read Huskies 3 Border Cats 6.

Payton Robinson got the start for the Huskies and earned the loss after tossing 4.1 innings allowing 4 runs on 5 hits while walking 4 and striking out 2. Robinson was replaced by Wade Regas who tossed 1.2 innings allowing 2 runs on 1 hit while walking 2. Reid Long finished the game for the Huskies. Long tossed 2.0 innings allowing 0 runs on 1 hit while walking 1 and striking out 1.

Brendan McClary had a nice game at the plate for the Huskies going 3-4 with a double and a run scored.

The Huskies return home Tuesday August 2nd to battle the Rochester Honkers. First pitch from Wade Stadium is set for 6:35 with gates opening at 5:35.
