The Duluth Huskies (26-39) dropped their 3rd straight game Saturday night after facing the La Crosse Loggers (34-30).

The Loggers wasted no time scoring right away in the bottom of the 1st with a 2 run home run from Griffin Conine to take the early lead. In the bottom of the 4th the Loggers would add to their lead by 1 on a single form Gavin Johns to score Lars Nootbaar. The Huskies were unable to respond until the top of the 9th with Austin Bernard scoring on a single from Casey Moses. With runners on 1st and 3rd with 2 outs, the Huskies were unable to score anymore runs. The final score was 3-1 in favor of the Loggers

Ryan Tapani was the starter for the Huskies and he will get the loss after tossing 6.0 innings allowing 3 hits with 3 runs, 4 walks, and 0 strikeouts. Tyler Fischer and David Kroger each made an appearance for an inning. Zach Kesterson earns the win after tossing 6.0 innings with 4 hits, 0 runs, 2 walks, and 3 strikeouts. Dave Smith earns the save after tossing 1.0 inning with 1 hit, 1 run, 1 walk, 2 strikeouts.

The Huskies will face the Loggers for the last time this season Sunday evening. Continuing their road trip, the Huskies will head to Eau Claire Monday to face the Express, before the Major League Dreams Showcase in Madison on Tuesday. The Huskies will be back at home for the final time Thursday August 11 for Wrestling at the Wade to face the Rochester Honkers. The doors will open early at 4:45 Thursday with wrestling starting at 5:15. First pitch is set for 6:35.
