The Duluth Huskies announce the addition of two players from the University of Minnesota for the 2017 season. OF Gabe Knowles and LHP Sam Bridges will be spending their summer in Duluth.

Gabe Knowles is a 6-foot-2, 190-pound freshman from New Ulm, MN. In his senior season at New Ulm Cathedral High School, he posted a .436 career batting average with 6 homeruns and 27 stolen bases. While at Cathedral, he earned 4 letters in baseball and was named all-state in 2015.

Sam Bridges, a South St. Paul native, will be starting his first season with the Gophers. While in high school, Bridges was name Metro East All-Conference and all-section his junior and senior seasons. He was also named Metro East Conference Player of the Year his senior year after posting a record of 4-0.
