The Duluth Huskies announce the addition of two players for the 2017 season. INF Rudy Karre from the University of Kansas and RHP Spencer Juergens of Jefferson College.
Rudy Karre, a Peoria, Arizona native, is starting is sophomore season with the Jayhawks. Karre started 26 games before suffering a season-ending injury. Posted a .271 batting average and was on a 6 game hitting streak before missing the remainder of the season. Over the first 4 games of the 2017 season, he’s batting .222.
Spencer Juergens is in his sophomore season with Jefferson College. The Washington, Missouri native has started in 2 games so far, with 1 win and 1 loss. In 2016, Juergens appeared in 12 games, starting in 8 and posting a 2.69 ERA. Racking up 40 strikeouts over 63.2 innings.
