Some things were very similar Wednesday night for the Duluth Huskies baseball team. That being scoring early and big innings. The Huskies got on the board first as Kyle Hubbuch drove in the first run of the game staying hot with the bat.
The hits were not to the caliber of Tuesday night’s opener, but were timely and clutch. The Huskies finished with 5 hits on 7 runs and turned to the pitching staff to dominate this second outing at Copeland Park. Piero Amador started the night off on the bump for the Huskies going 3 innings. Relief appearances from Garrett Brown, Stephen Yancey, and Kevin Foleman were huge factors in Wednesday night’s win.
The Huskies take to the road again starting tomorrow (6/1) and travel to Waterloo, Iowa for a pair of games against the Bucks. Both games will have a 6:35 first pitch. Then they will head home for Opening Night at Wade Stadium Saturday, June 3rd against the Willmar Stingers. Season and single game tickets are available now.
