The Duluth Huskies (15-17) dropped a close game to the St. Cloud Rox (22-11) at Joe Faber Field on Saturday evening.
The Huskies went down early and trailed 2-0, but quickly struck back to tie the game. Camryn Williams hit a solo home run to left field to cut the Rox lead to one. Caleb Robinson would tie the game in the sixth after scoring on a pass ball from second base.
Huskies’ starter Ryan Losman (1-2, 5.56) pitched 6.1 innings and allowed just two earned runs on seven hits. The righty didn’t walk a single batter and struck out five. He took the loss after allowing a go-ahead single to Angelo Altavilla in the seventh.
The Huskies will host the Rox for a three-game series starting tomorrow at Wade Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 3:05 with the gates opening at 2:05.
