The Duluth Huskies(15-19) were out matched by the first place St. Cloud Rox(24-11) in the third game of the four game series. The Huskies lost 8-2 as the pitching staff of the Rox came up big again.

The Huskies managed to string together two runs off of eight hits. They might have gotten eight hits but whenever they had runners in scoring position the pitching would shut the door on the Huskies. There were five times in the game where a baserunner for the Huskies reached scoring position but were left on base. The Huskies ended the night leaving 10 runners on base throughout the game. Henry DeCaster(0-4) is the losing pitcher tonight as he went 5.2 innings giving up six runs off of seven hits and recording five strikeouts. Carlo Graffeo(2-1) picked up the win as he gave up two un-earned runs off of five hits.

Tomorrow, the Huskies look to finish the four-game series strong with a win. They have already dropped three to the Rox and have lost the series. Game start time for tomorrow’s 4th of July game is set for 1:05pm.
