The Duluth Huskies are proud to welcome Assistant Coach Anthony Lim to the 2019 Coaching Staff. Coach Lim is from East Palo Alto, California and is well versed in the world of baseball. With starting his coaching career while in college at Whitman in Walla Walla, Washington. He coached youth baseball in the fall of 2018 and then joined the De Anza College staff of Cupertino, California, Where he is currently coaching.

For Coach Lim, life wouldn’t be the same without the sport of baseball. “Baseball is and will always be my life.” From starting out as a little guy in little leagues to playing all the way through four years of college ball at Whitman College. It is pretty obvious that becoming a coach was the next best thing for him.

As most are probably wondering why he would come to Duluth, Coach Lim answered with “I figured Duluth would be a good experience to coach a high level of baseball in a part of the country I have never seen before.”

Through all of this experience, the thing he is most nervous for this summer doesn’t have anything to do with baseball instead it’s more about a new area and getting familiar with his surrounding. He even takes his nervousness and puts it in a good light by looking at it like an opportunity to get better.

As most focus on the nervousness of new things, Coach Lim is focusing more on the excitement of being able to coach and help the players be their best throughout the entire season. When asked to explain himself as a coach he mentioned person developer. “ I appreciate what the game of baseball has given and taught me and I would like others to have that same experience.”

Coach Lim also wants all Huskies fans to know they should be ready and expect another exciting season with “exciting plays and exciting players”.

The 2019 season is less than one hundred days away and Coach Lim is ready to hit the field with his new team. “ I love opening days.” So don’t miss out on Sunday, June 2nd, 2019 when the Huskies open up their home season against the Eau Claire Express.
