Duluth, Minn —  The Duluth Huskies Baseball Club is proud to announce the signing of two new men to the 2020 Huskies, Hamilton Martinez a Righthanded Pitcher and Miguel Larreal positioned at shortstop. The adding of these two can only enhance an already great roster for this season.

Miguel Larreal is from Venezuela and is currently a freshman on the Hillsborough Community College team.  He is most looking forward to “experiencing different places as well as playing in front of different people.” He heard about the team from his college coach along with knowing about the overall Northwoods League. When asked why he plays the game it becomes a little bit more personal. “… since I was a little kid I would look up to my dad and grandfather and wanted to be like them one day.” His family and growing up with the game also lead to when he started playing, which as he says is “ As soon as I could grab a bat”. It is very obvious that Miguel is a dedicated player and that is exactly how he explains himself,  “I feel like when I need to get something done or go after it I will get it done.”

Hamilton Martinez is a Righthanded pitcher from the Dominic Republic and is currently a freshman at Hillsborough as well. He is most looking forward to  “…winning ball games, playing in front of people I’ve never even met before & just experiencing different states” He started playing at the young age of 4, “…My family is what made me play the sport, living in the Dominican Republic, baseball is culture out there, just went with the flow and ended up here.” Martinez explained himself as determined, “ I’m so determined to get what I want in anything I do.” This determination is exactly what the team will need this 2020 season.

These men have so much in common already with being teammates, both growing up with baseball in their families, and now being apart of the Duluth Huskies. So this summer look for these two as they stay dedicated to showing off their passion for this sport.  Don’t forget, season tickets for the 2020 season are on sale now!
