The Huskies Howl Podcast premieres February 10th
Duluth, Minn. – A new Huskies media platform has arrived. Zach Linfield, one of the play-by-play callers for the Huskies, will also host the ‘Huskies Howl Podcast,’ the first ever weekly podcast all about the Duluth-based ball team and those who don the white and blue. Zach says the goal with the Duluth-based pod is to become more personal with the players and staff here, as well as to give an in-depth look at how the Huskies have handled recent obstacles such as Covid-19 and what to expect in 2021.
The Huskies Howl Podcast will give fans in the Northland a deeper dive into who the players, coaches, and front office staff are as people rather than just their position on a ball team. To best achieve this feat, Linfield will be with the team daily-including road games-to become more personal with the team and get fresh content to the listeners on a weekly basis. 35 minutes to an hour in duration, the podcast will feature one to two interviews per episode- perfect for a commute to and from work. Fans will also have the opportunity to submit questions for Zach to ask players and staff on the podcast-a feature that will bring fans even closer to the team they love.
Linfield was introduced to the Huskies after submitting 200+ emails to various professional, minor league, developmental league, and college teams about play-by-play and sports media opportunities. A Communications and Sports Management student at the University of Michigan, Zach hosted ‘Coronacast Sports’ during the summer of 2020; a podcast focused on interviewing players across a multitude of sports to gauge how they stayed active, kept their minds right, and remained positive during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Duluth promptly jumped at the opportunity to work with Zach, who will be with the team until he returns to the University of Michigan in time for their 2021 football season, where he is the Wolverines’ Football Manager.
Join us in welcoming Zach to the Huskies family, and tune into the first episode today, February 10!
