Bigge and Gates signed for 2018 season

Duluth, Minn. – The Duluth Huskies Baseball Club is excited to announce the additions of Hunter Bigge (RHP, 3B) from Los Gastos, California, and Michael Gates (RHP) from Huntington Beach, California to the 2018 roster.

Hunter Bigge is a 6’ sophomore coming from Harvard University.  Bigge played high school ball at Los Gatos High School until graduating in 2016. There, he was a three-time all-league selection, De Anza League MVP in 2015, CalHi Sports Central Coast Section Player of the Year in 2015, first team all-state selection in 2015, 2015 Santa Clara Hot Stove Pitcher of the Year, and earned many academic awards. In his first year at Harvard he appeared in eight games with one start. Collected a 6.00 ERA with 13 strikeouts in 15 innings.

Michael Gates is a 6’ 2” sophomore coming from the University of Southern California. Gates played four years of varsity baseball as a pitcher and shortstop at St. Michael’s Prep. He earned First-Team All-Express League all four years, earned all-CIF honors as a junior in 2015 and a senior in 2016, was named Express League Player of the Year in 2016 as a senior, struck out 19 batters and 18 batters in different games in his junior year, and played for the So Cal Giants Scout Team during 2015 and 2016. In his first year at the University of Southern California, he produced a 9.64 ERA.
