FIREWORKS
How about sports and a show? Fireworks shows are now shot directly on the field in centerfield to provide an up close amazing display. This year, we’re lighting off fireworks EVERY Friday night, and July 3rd and 4th. Don’t miss the spectacular post-game shows on June 1, June 8, June 15, June 22, July 3 (Red, White, and Boom Night), July 4, July 13, July 27, and August 10.

The party starts, right as you walk in! We’ll feature live music from local bands from 5:30 – 7 pm to kick things off before the game.

ENTERTAINMENT
CANINE STARS (JUNE 9 & AUGUST 11) – The Canine Stars Stunt Dog Show is an exciting, extreme sports production guaranteed to entertain the entire family. The team highlights popular dog sports such as dock diving, freestyle Frisbee disc, flyball racing, high jumping and dog agility with multiple breeds of dogs that have been rescued or adopted from shelters.
DANIEL TIGER presented by WGVU PBS (JUNE 14) – Everyone’s favorite cat is taking a vacation from Jungle Beach to pay a visit to Kalamazoo. Daniel will be in town to take in a Growlers game and greet our littlest fans with a warm and friendly “Grrrrrrr!”
XPOGO (JUNE 23) – The Xpogo Stunt Team is the most talented and experienced extreme pogo performance team in the world. Jumping over nine feet in the air on next-generation pogo sticks while throwing down flips and incredible tricks, The Xpogo Stunt Team athletes create crowds in an instant and keep them engaged until the final bounce.
DAVE THE HUMAN CANNONBALL (JUNE 24) – David Smith Jr. is the highest flying Human Cannonball in the world today! He holds 5 Guinness World Records with the highest cannon shot and the farthest cannon shot, breaking his own World Record three times! David has been a human cannonball for 22 years. He has performed over 8,000 cannon shots in fifteen countries.
SUNSHINE FIRE ENTERTAINMENT (JUNE 30) – With Eye-Dazzling Fire Stunts, Sunshine Fire Entertainment promises an unforgettable performance incorporating various elements in the art of Fire Manipulation. Their exhilarating show features fast-paced stunts with spectacular fire breathing, blazing hula-hoops, fiery acrobatics, and an amazing amount of flame. Whether in solo or partnered acts, Sunshine Fire Entertainment Detroit is sure to amaze spectators of all ages.
TYLER’S AMAZING BALANCING ACT (JULY 1 & AUGUST 12) – Tyler Scheuer’s high energy and unique performance has been wowing crowds for the past seven years. You’ll have to see it to believe it. Watch as he balances wheelbarrows, bikes, ladders and so much on his face all while dancing to music and engaging the crowd. Tyler first learned of his talent at just 11-year-old. He’s been featured on a number of national television shows including Ripley’s Believe it or Not.
REGGY THE PURPLE PARTY DUDE (JULY 14) – Reggy is a dude that loves to party. He’s known for his French fry hair, a boogie nose and bright purple fur. Comedy and dance routines have been a staple of his act since 2001. He is best known for his slapstick style and interactions with coaches and umpires on baseball fields throughout the US. Reggy also serves as the Mascot Hall of Fame’s official spokes character.
INFLATAMANIACS (JULY 15) – The Inflatamaniacs are a bunch of cool kids and their fictitious friends. Each kid has his own unique story. They all met in dance class, a similar trait that binds them all together. They each come from different backgrounds and ethnicity. Each one of them brings their own individuality, but when they groove together magic is made.
ORNY ADAMS COMEDY SHOW (JULY 23 at 9 pm) at Chenery Auditorium – As part of the 25th anniversary of the Northwoods League and a kick off to the All-Star Game events, the Kalamazoo Growlers Baseball Team is proud to host comedian, Orny Adams. Comedian Orny Adams may have first gained the spotlight after co-starring in Jerry Seinfeld’s documentary COMEDIAN, but in the past few years he has become a comedy stand out all his own. Orny’s third stand up special, MORE THAN LOUD, premiered on Showtime in December. A seasoned vet with a fresh voice, Adams has performed on CONAN, THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO and THE LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN multiple times, hosted his own shows for Travel Channel and TBS and has written and performed on two Emmy’s broadcasts. To younger audiences, though, Orny is best known as “Coach Finstock” on the hit MTV show TEEN WOLF – one of the most popular series for teens in the past decade. Click here to purchase tickets.
NWL ALL-STAR GAME AND HOME RUN DERBY (JULY 24)- The Northwoods League All-Star Game brings together the top talent from across the League as voted on by League coaches and media, with the best of the South Division facing off against the best of the North Division, and will be preceded by a Home Run Derby. The traditional lineup of events features the addition of a Kids Home Run Challenge presented by Cole Automotive. Eight local youth baseball organization players will have an opportunity to hit home runs in the outfield leading up to the start of the Northwoods League All-Star Game. Click here for event details.
SUPERHERO AND PRINCESS NIGHT (JULY 27) – All your favorite superhero and princess characters will be on site to take pictures! Presented by Celebration Cinema.
CELEBRITY APPEARANCE
TIM LESTER (JUNE 23) – Western Michigan Football head coach, Tim Lester, will be at the game to throw the first pitch and sign autographs. Presented by United Healthcare.
JERSEYS
Growlers players will wear four specialty jerseys this season to celebrate unique theme nights. The jerseys will be auctioned off during the game. Each jersey winner will be invited on field after the game, meet the player and have their jersey autographed. All proceeds will benefit a local non-profit.
9 INNINGS OF FAME (June 1)
You’ve probably received a bobblehead or watched the team play in a crazy promotional jersey, but you’ve probably never thought about being the bobblehead or having your face on a jersey. Well, the Kalamazoo Growlers are giving one lucky fan a chance at hosting a promotional night in their honor with the announcement of “9 Innings of Fame”. The teams will each rename themselves after a fan and provide memorable experiences all in their honor.
PUPPERAZZI JERSEY (June 9)
Call it a three-peat. After the viral success of the Growlers Selfie Jersey and Emojersey , the Growlers are giving man’s best friend a chance to shine. The Growlers are teaming up with Pet Supplies Plus this summer and are asking fans to submit a favorite photo of your furry fido for their never-before-done Pupperazzi jersey.
STARS AND STRIPES JERSEY (July 4)
The 5th edition of our Fourth of July jersey features stars and stripes. This night has sold out every year and has become a staple for the Kalamazoo community as the destination for Fourth of July Fireworks.
