KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo Growlers are happy to announce the re-signing of Manager Cody Piechocki through the 2028 season.
“Cody has been a huge part of what we’ve built here in Kalamazoo,” Growlers owner Brian Colopy said. “The consistency we’ve had on the field speaks for itself, but what Cody brings to this organization goes well beyond wins and losses. He’s built a culture that players want to be a part of, and we’re excited to continue having him lead the Growlers.”

Cody Piechocki has been the full-time manager in Kalamazoo since 2017, winning two Northwoods League Championships in 2022 and 2024. Piechocki concluded the 2026 season finishing .500 or better in five consecutive seasons and eight of the last nine.
Piechocki sits fifth all-time in the Northwoods League for regular season wins and his 10 postseason wins is a tie for fifth all-time.
The success doesn’t end in the Northwoods League. Piechocki managed 13 of the 15 Growlers to make their MLB debut. He also has coached a number of highly rated prospects in the minors, including the Boston Red Sox sixth ranked Henry Godbout.
“I’m extremely grateful to continue managing the Growlers and representing Kalamazoo,” Piechocki said. “We’ve had a lot of great players and coaches come through this organization over the years, and I’m proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish together. There’s a standard that’s been built here, and I’m excited to keep pushing that forward.”
