Our team understands that giving back to the community is vital to doing our part to improve the quality of life in the greater Kalamazoo area.

Therefore, we understand the importance of dedicating our time and efforts back to the families and organizations of this wonderful community.

We want to give back to those who work so hard to make this community excel and grow.

We support the efforts of non-profit organizations, underprivileged kid’s organizations, youth sports programs, the schools of our community, along with others that are trying to make a difference in developing a better community.

To submit a donation request, please review the information below and complete the form at the bottom of the page.

  • 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations or other charitable organizations that benefit residents.
  • Requests must be for fundraising purposes only (ex. raffle, silent or live auction).
  • Mascot appearances are not available through this donation application process. Please click here for more info on Porter the Growler appearances.
  • Donations are limited to one request per organization during each calendar year.
  • A street address must be provided; requests with a PO Box will be declined
  • For efficiency purposes, all donation requests must be submitted through the online application. Faxes, emails, phone calls, and mailed submissions will no longer be accepted. If you’d like to speak with a team member about a donation request, please call a Growlers representative at (269) 492-9966.
  • Requests must be received at least (2-4) weeks in prior to the event.
  • Please understand that request fulfillment is not instantaneous. Charitable donation mailings are done on a rolling basis and requests are filled sequentially. Please do not submit more than one request, call, or email about the status of your request.
  • Decisions made by the Kalamazoo Growlers Community Team are final.
  • It is recommended that your event does not rely on the anticipation of a Growlers donation item, but should be approached as a complimentary element to your program.
  • Submitting a request does not guarantee a donation. A donation request does not guarantee specific items and/or autographs.
  • Merchandise donated by the Kalamazoo Growlers cannot be sold for profit.
  • Use of the Kalamazoo Growlers name, logos, trademarks, or copyrights and/or any advertising that implies support or sponsorship of an event by the Kalamazoo Growlers or the Northwoods League, must be approved in writing.

Youth Baseball/Softball Equipment Grant Program

WHAT IS THE SHARE THE GLOVE GRANT?

The Northwoods League Foundation (“Foundation”) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that serves as a vehicle to transform a shared passion for baseball and softball into positive change and support for communities.

The Mission of the Northwoods League Foundation is: To utilize the games of baseball and softball to enrich the quality of life for children and families with an enduring and caring focus on Northwoods League communities.

In support of this mission, the Foundation awards equipment grants to youth baseball and softball organizations across Growlers Nation.

Award recipients are required to attend an on-field presentation experience that includes photographs.

The deadline to apply is May 18th.

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE GRANT?

The grant is a standardized set of Rawlings youth equipment valued at approximately $2,000.

Every year, the donated equipment rotates between baseball and softball equipment.

Softball equipment will be donated in 2026.

The grant includes:

  • (1) Set of Catcher’s Gear: (helmet, chest protector, shin guards, mitt)
  • (6) batting helmets
  • (9) fielding gloves (7 right, 2 left)
  • (1) bucket of practice softballs
  • (3) bats (1-27″, 1-28″, 1-29″)

AM I ELIGIBLE?

  • Organization qualifies as a 501(c)(3) organization, school or school-based program, or community-based organization as defined under US IRC section 501(c)(3);
  • Organization is not an individual, for-profit business, political, or religious organization; Organization provides opportunities for kids ages 9-12 to play baseball or softball within a community that is served by a Northwoods League affiliate.
  • The Kalamazoo Growlers will be accepting grant applications from eligible organizations in the greater-Kalamazoo area.
  • The NWL Foundation will not directly accept applications. Grant recipients will be notified by a Kalamazoo Growlers representative and an on-field presentation experience will be scheduled.
