The Kalamazoo Growlers have unveiled multiple stadium renovations of Homer Stryker Field set to be completed by the team's home opener on May 29th.
Last season, the Miller Lite Party Zone became one of the Growlers most popular tickets in the ballpark. Patrons of this area enjoy all-inclusive ballpark food, unlimited soda and water, and now 7 beer tabs all for $25 (price increases on designated days). This year, the Growlers introduce the new Kalamazoo Mortgage Fan Deck built by Capstone Home Improvement and Lowes. The new deck adds an additional 250 seats with improved sight lines and unique views in an exclusive setting.
Also for 2015 are new field seating areas in the Miller Lite Party Zone and Bells Bear Bear Cave. These seats bring fans right onto the field and closer to the action while shortening the left field and right field outfield fences by 15ft.
The Growlers will also pay tribute to Kalamazoo’s own and future MLB Hall of Famer Derek Jeter with the "Jete Seats" presented by PNC Bank. Located next to the away dugout, these replica Yankee Stadium seats provide “the best seats in the house” to local youth and non-profits throughout the Southwest Michigan community. These seats will be dedicated in honor of the Wright4Kids Foundation.
Also new for 2015 is a 2nd level to the popular Home Plate Club built by VanDam & Krusinga and Lowes. The new deck is built around the existing grandstand and is equipped with refurbished Camden Yard seats, the home of the Baltimore Orioles. Patrons of this area receive the best view in the park, an all-inclusive premium menu prepared by the Growlers executive chef, along with waiter/waitress service throughout the game.
The ballpark also received a new sound system provided by Integrated Smart Technologies. The new system will enhance the current grandstand and reserved box seats along with reaching all of the new deck and on field cutouts the team has incorporated into the facility.
Single game tickets are now on sale for the 2015 season. Fans can visit growlersbaseball.com, call 269-492-9966 or stop in the team's office at Homer Stryker Field, 251 Mills Street in Kalamazoo.
