KALAMAZOO, MI – The Kalamazoo Growlers are excited to unveil their celebrity appearances and entertainment act schedule for the 2016 season. The schedule features Human Cannonball Dave “The Bullet” Smith, Mad Chad the Chainsaw Juggler, Whiplash the Cowboy Monkey and appearance by former WWE champion Matt Hardy.

Friday, June 10 – Matt Hardy

Matt Hardy is a professional wrestler known for his work in the World Wrestling Entertainment. He is a three-time world champion and will be appearing at the ballpark on WWE Night.

Friday, June 24 – Frank Tanana

Frank Daryl Tanana is a former professional baseball player. He pitched for six teams—including the Detroit Tigers–over the course of his 21-year major league career. Tanana is a Detroit native and the Growlers are excited to welcome him to our ballpark!

Saturday, June 25 – Dean Strang

Dean Strang is a Wisconsin defense attorney best known for representing Steven Avery of the Netflix Series “Making a Murderer”. Since the documentary’s release, he has travelled North America speaking about the American legal system and his experiences as a lawyer. He will star in the upcoming docuseries Dean Strang: Road to Justice from Covert Media.

Saturday, July 2 – Matt Giraud

Matt Giraud is a singer-songwriter and musician from Kalamazoo, Michigan and the fifth place finalist of the eighth season of the reality television series American Idol. He’ll perform the National Anthem on Red, White, and Boom! Night.

Saturday, July 16 – Lindsey Tarpley

Lindsay Tarpley is a Portage Central graduate and professional soccer forward and midfielder. She is a two-time Olympic gold medalist, winning gold at the 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics, and was a member of the United States women's national team that finished third at the 2007 Women's World Cup in China.

Saturday, June 11 – The Amazing Christopher

Christopher the Amazing is a dancer/puppeteer who has been performing alongside his four “friends” for nearly two decades. Christopher will also appear as a contestant on the upcoming season of “America’s Got Talent”.

In addition to making lots of TV appearances, he’s long been a fixture during NBA half time shows, festivals, and as an opening act for the likes of George Carlin, Eddie Murphy and Jay Leno.

Saturday, June 18 – Whiplash the Cowboy Monkey

Whiplash The Cowboy Monkey is truly a fan favorite, 3-Time Pro Rodeo Entertainer of the Year, and an international star who has been putting smiles on faces for years.  Whiplash is a Capuchin Monkey who has been riding since he was two yrs old. 

Whiplash has entertained crowds at rodeos, ball games and events all across North America and Europe. He has also appeared on ESPN, Good Morning America and The Today Show.

Sunday, June 19 – Zeke the Wonderdog

Zeke is the beloved Frisbee-catching dog of Michigan State University football games. He’ll be appearing again at Bark in the Park Night on Father’s Day.

Saturday, June 25 – Mad Chad the Chainsaw Juggler

As well as over 100 television appearances around the globe, this Guinness world record holder has entertained hundreds of thousands of fans at sporting events. His hilarious and crazy chainsaw juggling act blows fans minds every time.

Saturday, July 2 – ZOO!perstars

ZOOperstars! are a one of a kind, hilarious mascot inflatable entertainment show that fans of all ages love to watch. For years, ZOOperstars! has ranked at the top of MLB and MiLB promotions, providing great between-inning game entertainment.

Saturday, July 16 – Inflatamaniacs

The Inflatamaniacs are a bunch of cool kids and their fictitious friends. Join Hollywood, Ice, G Money and Munchie for a night of fun and pranks! Standing at nearly 8 feet tall, this larger-than-life crew adds to the ballpark fun.

August 6 – Dave “The Bullet” Cannonball Guy

David has been a human cannonball for over 11 years. He has performed more than 5000 cannon shots around the world. He is the highest flying Human Cannonball in the world today with his world record breaking human cannonball shots and his dynamic personality. “The Bullet” competed on season 7 of America’s Got Talent and made it to the quarterfinals.

August 13 – Reggy the Purple Party Dude

The Growlers will close out the season with the wacky and hilarious Reggy the Purple Party Dude. Reggy is one of the most popular traveling characters in sports. He is best known for his slapstick style and interactions with coaches and umpires on baseball fields throughout the US. Reggy also serves as the Mascot Hall of Fame’s official spokes character
