KALAMAZOO, MI – The Growlers took on the Kokomo Jackrabbits in the final game of a four-game series at Homer Stryker Field and put up double digits to crush their opens 15-5. Adam Wheaton was perfect for four innings on the mound for Kalamazoo and ended his outing after six solid innings allowing just 2 hits and no runs. The Growlers scored 11 runs in just the first four innings as Growler pitching held Kokomo scoreless until the seventh.
The Growlers move arm’s length of Battle Creek at the top of the division and sit just one game below a .500 record this season. Kalamazoo heads on a six-game road trip to Battle Creek, Kenosha and Traverse City over the next few days.
