2015 Promotional Schedule copyKALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo Growlers have released their promotional schedule for the 2015 season kicking off with an Opening Night fireworks display (May 29) presented by OnStaff Group.  The schedule is filled with even more weekly promotions, fireworks, entertainment acts, giveaway items and family friendly themes.

WEEKLY PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE

There are several season-long promotions on tap including Wal-Mart & Sam’s Club Fireworks & Flat Screen Fridays (post-game fireworks, Flat Screen TV giveaway each night, and Tishhouse Electric’s thunderstix giveaway) and Consumers Credit Union Super Saturdays with premium giveaways, national entertainment acts and baseball bingo courtesy of Heritage Community of Kalamazoo.

Starting off the week is Modern Woodmen’s Make a Difference Mondays where half of all walk-up tickets sales benefits the non-profit organization of the night and Modern Woodmen will match up to $2,500 raised (June 1, July 6, July 13, July 27). Tuesday again is Bell’s Tuesdays where Bell’s Brewery beer is half off and the 1st 125 fans 21 year and up will walk home with a Bell's silicone pint glass.  New for 2015, is Hooter’s Wings Wednesdays with 50 cent Hooter’s wings along with Hooter’s girls in attendance each night. Back again is Miller Lite’s Thirsty Thursdays presented by 107.7 WRKR The Rocker with $2 tall draft beers on a number Miller products.

Sunday’s play host to Eaton’s Family Fundays where fans can enjoy family oriented themes, play catch on the field before the game, kids can run the bases after the game and receive post-game autographs from the entire team.

ENTERTAINMENT ACTS

The Growlers are bringing six national entertainment acts to Homer Stryker Field this season. Opening Day (May 29) and the Red, White and Boom (July 4) will play host to the Inflatamaniacs.   On Michigan Blood’s sponsored July 11 game, watch America’s Got Talent’s Russian Bar Trio presented by Bronson as they perform death defying aerial stunts, flips and jumps all while using a vaulting pole only 4 meters long. May 30 is set for Bucket Ruckus presented by Pure Green who is well known for electrifying ballparks by banging on dugout tops, running through the stands and leading cheers for fans to enjoy. Zeke the Wonderdog, a well know Michigan dog performance group, makes a trip back to Kalamazoo on June 10 for Bark in the Park Night presented by The Kalamazoo Poo Crew & WWMT.  On July 18, fans will be greeted by a high flying Extreme Pogo Stunt Team (XPOGO) presented by Borgess Health. August 1 the Growlers close out the season with the wacky and hilarious Reggy the Purple Party Dude presented by Ron Jackson Insurance.

SPECIALTY JERSEY NIGHTS

This season the Growlers will be donning four (4) one of a kind jerseys with each being auctioned after the game. On June 20, for What If? Night, the Growlers will wear Kalamazoo Kraken inspired jerseys, the second vote-getter from the teams original name the team contest. In addition, the first 500 fans will receive a Kraken Toothbrush holder courtesy of Westnedge Family Dentistry.

June 27 hosts Outdoorsman Night presented by Steensma Lawn & Power Equipment with camo jerseys and hunters orange caps.  Proceeds for the jerseys will go towards Urban Alliance. On July 4 the team will celebrate the 4th of July with Independence Day themed jerseys and hats.  Lastly, on July 17 the team will wear Chewbacca inspired jerseys for Star Wars Night presented by Superior Imaging Printmill. 

GIVEAWAY AND NOTABLE THEME NIGHTS

The boldest theme night this summer is Count Your Chickens Night (June 13- Bronson Health Care Midwest).  The team will pre celebrate a 2015 NWL championship by giving away 2015 replica championship rings coupled with post-game champagne shower and banner presentation.

Almost every game this season includes a giveaway item to the first 500-1,000 fans in attendance. The giveaway schedule is highlighted by four bobbleheads which include Harry Porter (June 12- Wizardry Night) presented by Radisson, Outdoorsman Porter (June 27- Outdoorsman Night) presented by Steensma Lawn and Power, Super Porter (June 28- Super Hero Night) presented by PNC Bank, and Northwoods League Alum and MLB All-Star Chris Sale (July 3) presented by Edward Rose & Sons.

Other notable giveaway items include a dog leash giveaway (June 10- WWMT), John Deere X300 Lawn Mower giveaway (July 16- Steensma), Grass Koozie (May 30- Pure Green), Growler baseball cards on 4 dates, and a $1k Diamond Giveaway (June 19- UniQ Jewelry Gallery).

The 2015 schedule will also feature unique themes including Hopps for Hundo’s Night (June 18-West Hills Athletic Club), Mascot Olympics Night (June 26 – Tishhouse Electric), Archaeology Night (July 5 – Kalamazoo Valley Museum, kids get to dig up “Fossils” in the infield after game), Christmas in July (July 19-CD Lawn), Military Appreciation Night (July 30- AmeriFirst Home Mortgage) and Fan Appreciation Night (August 2- DeNooyer Chevrolet).

RED, WHITE, AND BOOM NIGHT – 4th of July

On July 4th the Growlers will again hold Kalamazoo’s largest firework show with their 2nd Annual Red, White & Boom Night! The fun and wacky entertainment act of the Inflatamaniacs return along the first pitch being thrown out of a red, white, and blue hot air balloon.

INDIVIDUAL TICKET SALES – ON SALE FRIDAY, MAY 1

Tickets for all regular season games go on sale Friday, May 1 and start at a family friendly $7 with numerous seating options available. The popular Miller Lite Party Zone ticket ($25) is back and includes all inclusive ballpark food (hot dogs, burgers, brats, sides, etc.) all inclusive soda/water, along with 7 beer tickets for each guest.  New this year, is a Party Zone MVP ticket ($30) that includes a popular Bell’s Brewery option along with 3 additional unique selections.  Ticket prices increase day of game and all fans are directed to the team’s website for pricing details (www.growlersbaseball.com)
