The creators of Donut and Beer Fest are back with Southwest Michigan’s first ever Taco & Tequila Festival. For the love of tacos and a good time, the Kalamazoo Growlers Baseball Team is hosting a crazy new event highlighting local food vendors for their unique take on the versatile taco along with a tequila sampling bar, exotic mixed drinks, and festive entertainment–lucha libre wrestling, mariachi band, and taco judging contest.

“We had a great time with the first Donut and Beer Fest last year and wanted to continue expanding on fun opportunities for the community to get together in the unique atmosphere here at the ballpark,” said Dana Wagner, Director of Live events and Operational Efficiency for the Kalamazoo Growlers.

The 21+ event will take place Saturday, September 29 from 5-8 PM (with VIP hour beginning at 4 PM) at Homer Stryker Field, 251 Mills Street. The festival will take place on the field.

Each attendee will receive taco and drink sampling tokens and will be able to purchase additional tickets at the event. Tickets are available at kzootacoandtequilafest.com and at the Growlers box office. All tickets purchased before August 31 will receive a free Taco & Tequila fest hat.

The vendor lineup for the festival will be released in late June. Attendees can expect fresh, local offerings with some unique updates on favorite Mexican fare, as well as a variety of beer, tequila samples, and inspired cocktails.
