Every stolen base meant a little more for the Kalamazoo Growlers this summer. Throughout the 2026 season, the Growlers partnered with Honor Credit Union to support the First Day Shoe Fund, an organization dedicated to providing new shoes to local children in need. For every stolen base recorded by the Growlers, $18 was donated toward the initiative, helping provide approximately 190 pairs of new shoes to youth throughout the Kalamazoo community.

The partnership is another example of how the Growlers continue to make an impact beyond the baseball field. By turning an exciting part of the game into an opportunity to give back, the Growlers and Honor Credit Union were able to support local families and help ensure more children have access to properly fitting shoes. The Growlers would like to thank Honor Credit Union and the First Day Shoe Fund for their continued commitment to making a difference in the Kalamazoo community.
