Consumers PartnershipKalamazoo, Mich.  – The Kalamazoo Growlers are proud to announce its partnership with Consumers Credit Union to help bring baseball back to Kalamazoo. As a Founding Partner and the Official Financial Institution of the Growlers, Consumers Credit Union is sponsoring Super Saturdays at the ballpark. Super Saturdays provide fans with the opportunity to receive premium item giveaways like bobbleheads, lightsabers, jerseys, lawn mowers, surfboards and more! Saturdays also give the fans entertainment acts like the Inflatamaniacs and theme nights like Scout Night.

Says Lynne Jarman-Johnson, Chief Marketing Officer of Consumers Credit Union, “We look forward to bringing the community together around this great summer pastime and offering added benefits to our members.”

With this partnership, Consumers Credit Union members will receive opportunities to take part in the action, as well as receive special benefits at all Saturday home games, such as concession and merchandise discounts and discounts on tickets to future games. Members will be able to enter to throw out the first pitch at Super Saturday games, and the credit union’s youngest members will have the opportunity to serve as bat boy/girl. Young members will also be invited to a special Kids Day at the Park to take part in hitting, fielding, and throwing drills on the field with Growlers players and coaches.

“The Growlers are excited for Consumers Credit Union to join the family this season and beyond,” says John Bollinger, Assistant General Manager of the Kalamazoo Growlers. “Fans will enjoy the entertainment and giveaways this partnership makes possible, such as Star Wars Night when we’ll have exclusive light sabers for the first 500 game attendees.”

Consumers Credit Union will be the official sponsor of both the Growlers Cub Club and Bat Boy/Girl which provides tickets, prizes and even the opportunity to take part in batting practice with the Growlers.

The Growlers play their home opener on May 30 against the Battle Creek Bombers. The first Super Saturday game takes place the following night against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters as an appearance by Inflatamaniacs and a Magnet Schedule will be given away.

The Kalamazoo Growlers are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League.
