Education Day featuring the Kids STEM Fair is a day full of activities for youth: a STEM Fair + Lunch+ a Growlers baseball game.

The STEM Fair is host to hundreds of kids from the greater Kalamazoo area before the game starts.

This is an opportunity for students to engage with live exhibits hosted by local businesses, diving into different STEM fields through hands-on projects.

Students get the chance to look at vehicles, machinery and participate in interactive booths featuring STEM focused activities.

This event offers students a special opportunity to learn about local STEM careers and apply what they learn in classrooms to real-world scenarios.

Wednesday, May 28

We are looking for 15 local businesses and industries to be showcased at the Kids STEM Expo each day.

These are first come-first serve for preference of day(s) you are available to share knowledge with students in the greater-Kalamazoo area.

• All vendors will set up between 7:30 – 8:30am
• All booths ready to go by 8:30am all 3 days
• Students arrive at booths 9am – 11am
• All booths close and clean up between 11:00 – 11:30

We are looking for ~ 10 volunteers per day to support the Kids STEM Expo in the following schedules and roles:

• Directing Traffic (People) – several key spots throughout the Kids STEM Expo will require a volunteer to help move folks along and make sure kids are engaged
• Touch-A-Truck – directing kids to the area through the fence gate and making sure everyone is engaging in a safe and productive way
• Answering Questions – directing to the bathrooms, to the bleacher area, where the lunches should go, etc.
• Supporting a Variety of Learners – we will have a variety of students at the Expo, please engage with the students to get them interested in learning about STEM careers. It will be great to have your educator expertise.
• Safety – we need all volunteers to keep an eye out and keep all kids and educators safe during the event

Volunteers assist with one of several “jobs”. Assignments will be assigned at the hospitality table when a volunteer checks-in at the hospitality table.
