Kalamazoo, Mich. – From Bears to Growlers, two players from Missouri State will be joining Kalamazoo this summer. Connor Sechler and Sam Faith hope to be big contributors for both teams this year. The latest stop on the OnStaff Group Recruiting Trail is in Springfield, Mo.
RHP | Connor Sechler | 6’3″ | Freshman | Bolivar, Mo.
Connor Sechler is a freshman entering his first season at Missouri State. Connor is a right-handed pitcher listed at 6’3” 180lbs. The two-time all-district and All-COC Small honoree pitched a pair of no-hitters in 2015, and was ranked 12 among all Missouri prep Seniors.
If the Growlers ever needed a quarterback Connor would also be a great option, as he broke the Bolivar high school single-season passing touchdown record.
IF | Sam Faith | 6’3″ | S/R | Freshman | St. Charles, Ill.
Sam Faith is also a freshman infielder from St. Charles, Illinois who earned second-team All-America recognition from Collegiate Baseball, as well as Kane County Chronicle Player of the Year and first-team IHSA All-Sate honors.
Faith is listed at 6’3” 195lbs, and has already picked up his first collegiate hit this spring for the Missouri State Bears.
The Growlers are adding youth, and loads of talent. Sam Faith and Connor Sechler are two pieces to what Kalamazoo hopes to be a winning summer.
