The Kalamazoo Growlers are excited to welcome Lukas Moore and Brian McLaughlin to the Growlers media staff for the summer. Lukas and Brian will serve as play-by-play announcer and color commentator for all home and road games this season.

Get to know the voices of Growlers Radio:

This will be Lukas Moore’s 4th season broadcasting Summer Collegiate League Baseball. He spent two years in the Prospect League with the Champion City Kings (Springfield, OH) and one season in the Great Lakes League with the Southern Ohio Copperheads (Athens, OH). He currently attends Ohio University and the esteemed E.W. Scripps School of Journalism majoring in Broadcast Journalism. When in Athens, Lukas is an on-air talent for Power 105.5 and 970 WATH broadcasting sports and hosting a classic hits music show.

 

 

Brian McLaughlin is a sophomore majoring in Broadcast Journalism at Penn State University. He is a lifelong baseball player and fan who know hopes to make a career out of this beautiful sport as a Play-by- Play announcer. While at Penn State he is heavily involved in the student radio organization CommRadio as a Sports Director for the station. Brian also covers Penn State women’s basketball and softball for GoPSUsports.com. Along with playing baseball, he also played soccer and basketball in high school and enjoys staying active with lots of Intramural sports at school. Brian is anxious to get started this summer with the Growlers, and to have the opportunity to tell the story of this team.
