Back To Back Road Wins!

You can call this team butter, because they’re on a roll.

Last night in front of a crowd of 2500 people, the MoonDogs won their second consecutive game as they put up 7 runs to beat the Woodchucks 7-6.

Trailing 5-4 in the top of the ninth, the MoonDogs rallied to score 3 runs and were able to hold off the Woodchucks in the bottom half of the inning to win the game 7-6.

The offense is starting to come around and the players are getting the big hits they need to win. Jeremiah Piepkorn led the team going 4 for 5 and scoring three of the MoonDogs runs.

Travis Johnson, aka "Starfish”, picked up his first win of the season coming in as a relief pitcher in the bottom of the 8th inning. Ryan Hamilton got his first save of the season as well.

Next up for the MoonDogs are the Woodchucks again tonight, before they finish their 5-game road trip in Alexandria on Monday.
