Bucks Beat Dogs

Under perfect baseball conditions on a Friday night at the Frank, "Freaky Friday 13th” strange things were to be expected. And that was the case last night.

With the MoonDogs trailing 5-3 in the bottom of the ninth inning, a controversial call by the home plate umpire shut down a rally attempt as pinch hitter Mike Dudley’s hit seemingly dropped inside the line behind third, before it was called foul.

Manager Brad Rupert felt the same way as the crowd and announcers did and went toe to toe with the home plate umpire, leading to his 2nd ejection of the season.

Waterloo then closed the door on the game, with a final score of 5-3.

On the field, Aaron Moll once again showed his veteran experience going 2-4, while Ryan Chiarelli, who saw his first game with the MoonDogs last night, was also 2-4 with a stolen base.

Tonight the MoonDogs will travel to Waterloo, starting a 4 game road trip before they return to the Frank on Tuesday night as part of a split double header with the Rochester Honkers.
