The MoonDogs Staff shirts said it all today "Beware of Dogs.”

There were dogs in the stands (literally) to watch out for, as it was Dog Day Afternoon at the Frank, but more importantly were the ‘Dogs on the field. The MoonDogs came out swinging the bats from the start, took a first inning lead and never looked back.

All but one position player had a hit in today’s game as the MoonDogs scored 6 runs on 10 hits, knocking out Mike Smith in just the second inning.

Brent Jackson made an excellent start for the MoonDogs as he threw a complete game, giving up only 3 hits and 1 run while striking out 8. The Border Cats didn’t get a hit off of Jackson until the 6th inning, when they scored their only run of the game. It was Jackson’s first victory of the year.

Both teams head for Thunder Bay tonight before tomorrow afternoons game in Canada.
