In front of one of the largest crowds at the Frank this year, the MoonDogs surely didn’t disappoint a single one of the 1118 fans in attendance, as they won in thrilling fashion 5-4.

The tempo of the game started a little slow and things were looking weary for the MoonDogs as they only had 1 run and 1 hit in the first 5 innings of the game.

Going into the bottom of the 6th down, 4-1, the MoonDogs found their rally caps and put their first 3 runners on base, all which would score in the inning.

Aaron Grant had the biggest hit of the night in the 6th, with two outs, the bases loaded and the MoonDogs down by 1, Grants double to left center scored Chris Baso and Ryan Chiarelli, giving the MoonDogs the lead.

Philip Springman came on in relief for starter Ryan Hamilton and shut down the first 9 batters he faced in order. The ninth inning had brought the fans to their feet as Springman struck out Chris Nowak of Rochester to end the game.

The MoonDogs move to 5-2 in sole possession of first place in the North Division.
