Last night in Madison, in front of nearly 6,500 people, the MoonDogs jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the second inning. The lead held strong for pitcher Jason Conrad who threw 6 innings giving up only 1 run while striking out 7 along the way.

However, for the third consecutive game, the MoonDogs struggled offensively. Getting only 4 hits in the game didn’t allow for any separation and allowed the Mallard to stay in the game.

Ryan Hamilton came in to try and close the door for the MoonDogs and shut Madison down in the 7th. But it the 8th, Hamilton gave up a two-run shot to Francois Larmore, that put the Mallards ahead 3-2.

The MoonDogs were unable to rally in the 9th, and lost the game 3-2.

*There was about a 1 hour and 20 minute rain delay due to heavy rains during the game*
