The series opener between the Thunder Bay Border Cats and your Mankato MoonDogs has been put on hold for a night. Torrential downpours and excessive amounts of rain in the last 72 hours caused unstable field conditions last night.

This marks the second consecutive night the MoonDogs game has been cancelled due to rain. Thursday night’s game in Madison, Wisconsin was also cancelled.

While the MoonDogs sat idle last night, they would pick up a half game on the St. Cloud River Bats (6-3) who fell 5-3 against the Wisconsin Woodchucks (6-1).

Tonight’s contest against the Border Cats will be a doubleheader starting at 6:05 p.m. The games will be comprised of two 7-inning games. MAYBA Night will take place in the first game, but any Kids wearing their MAYBA jersey can still get free admission for both games. Lets Make A Deal Night will be during both games of the doubleheader. Make sure you have anything and everything ready to show at the game. You could be the night’s big winner!
