Clutch hitting by the MoonDogs in the top of the eighth inning propelled them to a 2-1 come-from-behind victory to beat Alexandria.

The top of the eighth inning started off with a bang with a lead-off double by Ryan Chiarelli. Aaron Grant would be the next MoonDog to cash-in on the Beetles bullpen, by knocking in Chiarelli with a RBI single. Brandon Fromm finished off the comeback with a RBI single of his own that brought in Grant.

Making his second start of the year, Warren Rosebrock had some issues to resolve after his first outing against Alexandria didn’t go his way. He would do just that, with his only blemish being a solo home run by Spike McDougall in the fifth-inning. Rosebrock finished the game throwing five innings, allowing just the one run and five hits.

Kevin Dixon, who is getting accustom to shutting the door on opponents, gave up just one hit over four innings in relief, while taking out six Beetles with him via the strikeout. Dixon picked up the win for the MoonDogs, his first of the season.
