Warren Rosebrock stifled the Wisconsin Woodchucks for 6 innings as the MoonDogs went on to defeat Wisconsin 3-2.

Wisconsin scored the first run of the game in the top of the fifth inning to take a 1-0 lead. But the MoonDogs came right back in their half of the fifth inning as Ryan Chiarelli led off with a triple.

After a walk to Jon Shepard, Aaron Grant came to the plate and delivered a RBI single to score Chiarelli. Later in the inning, a sac-fly by Grant Rembert scored Shepard from third base to give the MoonDogs a 2-1 lead after five innings.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, the MoonDogs scored a crucial insurance run. Pinch-runner Jimmy Strombach eventually scored on a sac-fly by Barret Rice to put the ‘Dogs up 3-1.

Kevin Dixon entered in the ninth to close the door and preserve a MoonDogs victory. After allowing a couple runners on base and a wild pitch that scored one run for the Woodchucks, Dixon and the ‘Dogs got out of the jam to pick up the victory. For Dixon, it was his first save of the season.

Ryan Chiarelli finished 3-4 with a triple, one run scored and a stolen base.

Rosebrock (2-1) dominated for 6 innings, giving up just 1 run on 4 hits, while striking out 5. Jose Shaw came in to relieve Rosebrock and was un-hittable, as he went 2 innings, giving up no hits and fanning 5 Woodchucks.
