They Ain’t Nothing But MoonDogs, Winning All the Time!
(8/6/05)

The MoonDogs and River Bats were tied at one going into the bottom of the eighth inning when the MoonDogs loaded the bases for Brandon Crawford. Crawford then proceded to hit a deep ball to left field allowing Shane Buschini to tag up from third and take a 2-1 lead. Two more runs came when Andy Cook reached first on an error and Jon Rupno blooped a single into left field. When the eighth inning came to a close the scoreboard read 4-1 in favor of the ‘Dogs.

Neil Wagner relieved Bobby Lewton in the ninth inning in hopes of earning his 12th save of the season. Wagner did just that as he allowed just one unearned run in the ninth allowing the MoonDogs to roll to a 4-2 victory.

Brandon Crawford continued to swing a big stick as he went 2-3 including a double with one RBI.

The MoonDogs will travel to Alexandria tomorrow to take on the Beetles at 7:05 p.m. The ‘Dogs hope to continue their five game winning streak and gain another game on the first place Thunder Bay Border Cats.
