Mankato, MN – Jack Flansburg lifted the Mankato MoonDogs over the Waterloo Bucks Wednesday night at Franklin Rogers Park in walk off fashion by a score of 4-3.
Flansburg who went 2-for-5 in the game had undoubtly the biggest hit for the MoonDogs (11-11) in the 11th inning as he hit a two run walk off home run as the MoonDogs would win in dramatic fashion and improve to .500 on the year.
Newcomer to the MoonDogs Mikel Mucha would keep the final inning alive with a base hit as he went 2-for-5 in his MoonDogs debut.
Getting the start for the MoonDogs was Reece Eddins (0-1). Eddins worked five innings scattering five hits and surrendered just one run while fanning five.
The win would go to MoonDog Samuel Myers (2-1), and taking the loss for the Bucks would be Sean Trimble (2-1).
The MoonDogs and Bucks will square off for the final time in the 2015 regular season tomorrow night at The Frank, Thursday June 18, where a lucky fan will win a Kindle Fire HD presented by Rasmusen College. Doors open at 6:05pm first pitch is set for 7:05pm.
