The Willmar Stingers (15-3) take on the Minot Hot Tots (4-14) after splitting a home series against the Mankato Moondogs.
For Willmar, Gabe Swansen (University of Nebraska- Lincoln) and Sean Rimmer (University of Hawaii) will be the players to watch going into this week’s series. Both Swansen and Rimmer took the ball deep during the Mankato series. Swansen was named the MinnWest Technology Campus player of the game last night after going 1-for-4 collecting two RBI, one home run and batting .348. Rimmer is batting .250 and has collected nine hits, two home runs and seven RBI.
For Minot, the player to watch will be Thomas Rollauer (Citadel) who is batting .339 tallying 20 hits and six RBI in 15 games for the Hot Tots.
Hot Tots fans will see Rawley Hector (Louisiana Tech University) who posted a 5.40 ERA, struckout five batters, allowed eight hits and four free passes in two games this season.
Stingers fans will see Jalen Vorpahl (Alexandria Technical College) who posted a 3.60 ERA, two strikeouts, allowed ten hits and five free passes in four games this season.
Game 1 of the series will be at 6:35 at Corbett Field
