RICHARDTON, ND – The Badlands Big Sticks and the Northwoods League Foundation are proud to announce the Richardton Baseball Club as the recipient of the Share the Glove Baseball Grant for the 2024 season.
The Big Sticks traveled to Richardton to present new equipment at the team’s Tuesday night practice. Through the Share the Glove youth equipment grant, the team was awarded with brand new Rawlings equipment including: catcher’s gear, batting helmets, bats, baseballs, and gloves. “We are so thankful for the Northwoods League Foundation and the Big Sticks” said Little League Coach Mike Rivinius, “you have no idea what this means to our program for this season and beyond.”
The Northwoods League Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that serves as a vehicle to transform a shared passion for baseball into positive change and support for communities. The mission of the Northwoods League Foundation is to utilize the game of baseball to enrich the quality of life for children and families with an enduring and caring focus on Northwoods League communities.
Supporting youth sports, including baseball, are also one of the core values of the Badlands Big Sticks. General Manager Logan Hoff says, “Youth sports in our community are huge for the development of the children in our region, and for bringing our communities closer together. Baseball and softball rule the summer, and the Big Sticks have our community youth teams represented at every single home game this season. Finally, our community is not just Dickinson, but the entire southwest corner of North Dakota. We are proud to support the Richardton Baseball Club and their efforts to expand this great game!”
The Richardton Baseball Club will be recognized on the field during the Big Sticks June 17th game against the Bismarck Larks. The 50/50 raffle during that game will also go towards supporting the efforts of the Richardton Baseball Club.
