The athletic right-handed pitcher threw a complete game against the Mules of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association.

The win was Mueller’s 6th of the season for the Winona State Warriors who reached the D-2 World Series after defeating the University of Nebraska-Kearney in the Central Region Championship in St. Cloud, MN this past week. The Warriors defeated the Central Missouri Mules 4-3 in the opening game of the D-2 World Series and face Mt. Olive College Monday night at 5 pm Eastern.

The game featured two former NWL All-Stars on the mound in Mueller and Central Missouri starting pitcher Don Lisi.  Lisi went 3.0 innings while allowing four runs on six hits in the loss.  The former Wisconsin Woodchuck faces Millersville in the 2nd round of the D-2 College World Series on Monday afternoon.
