Perkins Pounds Out Three Hits
adminCameron Perkins (Purdue) of the Waterloo Bucks had a nice night at the plate against NWL rival Madison on Wednesday night. Perkins, a 6'5'' infielder, was 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBIs at Riverfront Stadium in Waterloo, IA. In 22 games in 2011, Perkins is hitting .314 with eight extra base hits and 10 RBIs.
Wisecarver Earns Win for Waterloo
adminMike Wisecarver (Nicholls State) picked up his 2nd win of the 2011 season for the Waterloo Bucks as he shutout the hot hitting Madison Mallards. Wisecarver threw a rain shortened complete game as he finished with nine strikeouts in 6.0 innings of work. The 5'10'' lefty from Kenner, LA now has a 1.99 earned run average in 22.2 innings pitched.
Pair of Mallards Produce at Plate
adminWillie Argo and Justin Parr are teammates with the Madsion Mallards and also at the University of Illinois. Both Argo and Parr had great nights at the plate against the Waterloo Bucks on Tuesday. Argo drove in six runs as he was 2-for-4 with two home runs. He also scored two runs and walked once. Parr was 5-for-6 with three RBIs and is now hitting .306.
Alexandria’s Smith Silences Border Cats
adminNate Smith (Furman) was impressive Tuesday night at Port Arthur Stadium against the Thunder Bay Border Cats. The 6'2'' right-handed pitcher picked up his 2nd win of the season as he threw a four hitter in 7.0 innings of work. Smith now has a 0.56 earned run average in 16.0 innings pitched.
Perfect Night for St. Cloud’s Stiner
adminKyle Stiner (New Mexico) was perfect at the plate for the St. Cloud River Bats on Monday night. The left-handed hitting infielder was 5-for-5 with three RBIs and one run scored. The Peoria, Ariz., native is now hitting .237 in 10 games. Stiner is now in the midst of a three game hit streak.
Shellhorn Improves to 3-0

The 5'9'' left-handed pitcher won his 3rd game of the season as he struck out seven Bucks batters. Shellhorn now has a 1.17 earned run average in 23.0 innings pitched.
