The Rochester Honkers Baseball Club announced today that Ryan Ruiz, Field Manager from their 2010 season, will return to pilot the Honkers again in 2011. Ruiz guided the Rochester Honkers to the 2010 Northwoods League playoffs and to the decisive Game #3 of the NWL Championship Series vs. Eau Claire.

The undrafted Schmidt whose Minor League season ended Sunday night as the Double-A Mobile BayBears were eliminated from the Southern League playoffs walked in his lone plate appearance Monday night.

Hollod Will Return to Manage Stingers

The Willmar Stingers announced today that Matt Hollod will return as Field Manager for the 2011 season. Hollod managed the Stingers to a 39 – 31 record falling short by a .006 winning percentage from making the playoffs in their 2010 Inaugural season. The Stingers finished second overall in the North Division and tied for the fifth best record of sixteen teams in the Northwoods League.
