FOND DU LAC, WI – The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders have found a radio home! Fans of the new Northwoods League team will be able to hear all 72 Dock Spiders games – 36 home and 36 away –on B104.7 this season.
“We’re excited to partner with B104.7 to ensure Dock Spiders fans from Fond du Lac and the surrounding communities will be able to follow us all season long,” said Dock Spiders General Manager Ryan Moede.
“The Fond du Lac market, the Fox Valley, and those west of Fond du Lac, have been so great to B-104. It was a natural fit, in my opinion, that we look at being the Radio Home for the Dock Spiders,” said B104.7 General Manager Marty Schibbelhut. “The Dock Spiders bring a level of quality entertainment to a market, Fond du Lac, that I think truly appreciates hard work. And the Dock Spiders line up, from top to bottom, is going to provide that hard work attitude each and every night. I think to be able to do it, at an affordable price, means our audience, full of young, hard-working adults, families, and more, will be able to enjoy a summer of fun, and not break the bank.”
Ace Sauerwein has been named as the play-by-play announcer for the Dock Spiders for the 2017 season. Sauerwein is a student at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls currently studying Journalism. He is currently the Sports Director for 88.7 WRFW in River Falls where he has done play-by-play for various sporting events.
Fans will have their first chance to listen on B104.7 when the Dock Spiders open their season on the road against the Madison Mallards on Tuesday, May 30th. The first home game will be played on Thursday, June 1 at 6:35PM against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters.
Season ticket packages and group outings of 20 or more for the 2017 season are on sale now and may be purchased from the Dock Spiders ticket office (located in the KFIZ Building at 254 Winnebago Drive in Fond du Lac). Fans may order tickets in person by entering through the Mohawk Avenue entrance or over the phone by calling (920) 907-9833 between 8:00am and 4:00pm Monday through Friday.
