Zac Charbonneau – Field Manager
Zac Charbonneau is in his second season as the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders’ field manager. Charbonneau is currently the head baseball coach at Milwaukee Area Technical College. Previously, he was an assistant coach at the College of Lake County in Grayslake, Illinois. Charbonneau was the manager of the Springfield Sliders of the Prospect League in 2016 and led the team to the best record in the league. The season was capped off with him being named 2016 Prospect League Manager of the Year. His other experience in collegiate wood bat leagues includes managing the Des Plaines Patriots of the Metro Collegiate League for three seasons and coaching the Slippery Rock Sliders of the Prospect League.
Ernesto Irizarry – Hitting Coach
Irizarry is in his first season as Hitting Coach for the Dock Spiders. He attended Roosevelt University where he became the single season home run leader, as well as going to down in the books as hitting the first home run in the Roosevelt University history. Graduating in 2013, he became the bullpen catcher for the Windy City Thunderbolts in the Frontier League. In 2014, he was then signed to play in for Los Patrulleros de San Sebastian in La Liga Béisbol Superior Doble A de Puerto Rico, retiring in 2016. In the fall of 2017 he became a Volunteer Graduate Assistant at his alma mater, Roosevelt University, pursuing his Masters in Business Administration.
Drew Tumbelty – Pitching Coach
Tumbelty is in his first season as Pitching Coach for the Dock Spiders. He just finished his senior year at St. Leo University. He transferred to Saint Leo from Rider University where he converted from infielder to pitcher prior to his junior season at Rider, and charted 4.86 ERA over 16.2 IP. He was rated the top prospect out of the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League following the Summer 2016 season by PerfectGame.org.
