Zac Charbonneau – Field Manager


Zac Charbonneau has been named as the first manager of Fond du Lac’s new Northwoods League franchise that will begin play in 2017.  Charbonneau is currently the assistant coach at the College of Lake County in Grayslake, Illinois.  Charbonneau was the manager of the Springfield Sliders of the Prospect League in 2016 and led the team to the best record in the league.  The season was capped off with him being named 2016 Prospect League Manager of the Year.  His other experience in collegiate wood bat leagues includes managing the Des Plaines Patriots of the Metro Collegiate League for three seasons and coaching the Slippery Rock Sliders of the Prospect League.

Charlie Thielmann- Pitching Coach

Charlie is beginning his first season as pitching coach for the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders.  He is from Piscataway, NJ and played 4 years at Kean University in Union, NJ. He pitched in two Division III College Baseball Championships as well as four Regionals where he was awarded the Regional MVP in 2013. While at Kean, he played in the Northwoods League with the Thunder Bay Border Cats in 2014. This past summer he coached in the Prospect League under Zac Charbonneau for the Springfield Sliders. He is currently the pitching coach for Full Count Baseball Academy and Franklin High School in New Jersey.

Sam Lind – Hitting Coach

Sam is beginning his first season as hitting coach for the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders.  He currently resides in Sioux Falls, SD.  He was a member of the 2011 College World Series team at Vanderbilt.  In 2014, he was a First Team All American and was named NAIA World Series MVP while playing for Cumberland University.   He then went on to spend parts of two seasons playing professional baseball with the Sioux Falls Canaries, Gary Railcats, and Schaumburg Boomers.
