GREEN BAY, WI- Coming off an off day yesterday, the Dock Spiders were swept by the Green Bay Bullfrogs in a home and home doubleheader.

Game 1:

 

 

The Dock Spiders dropped game one at Marian University's Herr-Baker Field 6-5. 
 
After a rain delay of nearly an hour and a half, the Bullfrogs scored first on the day getting to Dock Spiders starter Connor Johnson for three runs (two earned runs) via a bloop double, a groundout, and an error. 
 
Fondy's offense was stifled for the first five innings. However, the bats would come alive in the 6th inning scoring four runs. Joe Breaux and Alex Ronnebaum had back-to-back RBI doubles and a Luke Mangieri RBI single. 

 

 

Green Bay would score the next three runs, however, making the game 6-4 headed to the bottom of the 9th. Colton Neel would add an RBI single in the bottom of the 9th, but the rally ended and the Spiders dropped the opener.

 

 
Game 2:
The two teams switched sites to Green Bay's Joannes Stadium for the nightcap of the doubleheader. The result stayed the same as the Bullfrogs swept the Spiders by winning game two by a final score of 7-4.
 
In game two, the Spiders struck first scoring a run in the 1st inning with an RBI single from Luke Mangieri (who has driven at least one run in five straight games). 
 
The Bullfrogs scored one in the bottom half of the first to tie the game. After the first, Dock Spiders starter Jack Collins and Bullfrogs starter Noah Miller tossed scoreless 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th innings. 
 
Green Bay would bust the game open with five runs in the 6th inning as the first five batters reached against Dock Spider reliever Dominic Yearego, who suffers the loss. 
 
Green Bay tacked on one more, before Fondy scored three runs in the 9th inning.
 
The Dock Spiders are back in action tomorrow evening at home against the Madison Mallards. First pitch is set for 6:35.
