Johnson & Mierzwa to Represent Dock Spiders at NWL All-Star Game
Dock Spiders Duo to participate at Wausau on July 18
FOND DU LAC, WI – Two Fond du Lac Dock Spiders are scheduled to participate in the 2017 Northwoods League All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 18. Connor Johnson and Jon Mierzwa will both be a part of the pitching staff for the South Division for the game to be played at Athletic Park in Wausau, Wisconsin. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
Johnson, from Catawba College, is 2-1 with a 1.86 ERA in six games – four starts – for the Dock Spiders this season. Johnson has 34 strikeouts in 29 innings pitched in 2017.
Mierzwa, from Catholic University of America, is 2-0 with a 1.52 ERA in five starts this season. Mierzwa has 38 strikeouts in 23 2/3 innings pitched in 2017.
Group outings and individual game tickets for the 2017 season are on sale now and may be purchased from the Dock Spiders ticket office (located at 980 E Division St.).
