MADISON, WI- Fond du Lac (9-15) had opportunities to output a couple of big innings but came up with little to show in their 7-2 loss to the Madison Mallards.

Dock Spiders' starting pitcher Adam Eck struggled through four innings as he allowed six hits, seven walks and three earned runs (five runs total).

The Mallards started the scoring with an RBI groundout off the bat of Angel Camacho who finished with four RBI's and two hits. It was 1-0 going to the 2nd inning in favor of the Mallards.

On the second pitch of the inning, Andrew Bullock delivered a bomb to left field to tie the game in the 2nd. It was Bullock's second home run and 15th RBI on the season (most on the team).

Madison would score the next four runs to take a 5-1 lead headed to the 5th inning. The Dock Spiders responded with two runners on and nobody out in the 5th but failed to score. In the 6th inning, Fondy loaded the bases with nobody out and only scored one run to bring it to a four run deficit.

Missed opportunities and a two run Mallards 8th inning made it a 7-2 game headed into the 9th. Fondy would go down 1-2-3 and lose their 15th game on the season.

The Dock Spiders are headed home for a three game home stand starting tomorrow night against the Kalamazoo Growlers. First pitch is slated for 6:35  at Marian University's Herr-Baker Field.
