FOND DU LAC, WI- For the second time in three days, the Spiders (11-16) earn a tough comeback victory to take game one of the series against the Kenosha Kingfish (17-9) 7-4.

The game began as a pitcher's duel between Spiders' starter Jon Mierzwa and Kingfish starter Zach Stromberg as they both tossed four scoreless innings. 

Kenosha would get into the score column first with two runs in the 5th off four weak singles. Mierzwa's day was done after five innings of two run ball.

The Dock Spiders finally got to Stromberg in the 6th inning when Chris Cornelius had an RBI double. Cornelius finished the day 3-3 with a BB as well. 

With the score 2-1 in favor of the Kingfish, Cameron Comer drew a bases loaded walk to heighten the lead to 3-1. 

The tide would turn in the bottom half of the 7th inning. Nick Fortes drove in a run in on an groundoud, and with one runner on, Brandon Wulff delivered a two run home run over the left field wall to give the Spiders their first lead of the afternoon at 4-3. 

Wulff wasn't finished yet. With two runners on in the bottom of the 8th, Wulff hammered his second long ball of the day to put the game out of reach. Spiders closer Jake Roehn closed the door in the 9th with a 1-2-3 inning, and the Spiders escaped with a 7-3 victory. 

Fondy travel's to Simmons Field tomorrow evening for game two of the series with the Kenosha Kingfish. First pitch is set for 7:05.
