KENOSHA, WI- Fondy sent their all-star right hander Jon Mierzwa to the mound searching for their third straight win, but the Kingfish lineup would have other plans.

The Kingfish offense was off and running in the first inning when Kenosha struck for four first inning runs. Kingfish first baseman Derek Bangert highlighted the tumultuous inning when he drove in a pair of runs with a single. Mierzwa tossed 40 pitches and allowed three hits and two walks. The defense didn't help either by committing two first inning errors.

Down 4-0, Andrew Bullock put the Spiders on the board with a solo home run (his 4th of the season).

Kenosha's offense had an answer in the bottom half of the 2nd when Bangert drove in his 3rd run of the night with an sacrifice fly.

As the two teams went back and forth, Fondy would score two more on back-to-back doubles from Brandon Wulff and Nick Fortes to make it a 5-3 ballgame.

The bullpen, which didn't allow a run over the last 18 innings coming into tonight, slowed down the Kingfish a bit. However, Kenosha would score single tallies in the 4th and 6th innings to make it a 7-3 lead.

Andrew Bullock drove in two more runs on a double in the 7th inning to close the gap to 7-5.

However, in the 9th inning, the Dock Spiders had the tying run on base but couldn't score him, and the Dock Spiders lost 7-5.

Fondy will look to bounce back tomorrow against the Madison Mallards. Game time is scheduled for 4:05.
